Roger Lawson, better known as "Spitball 45", joined the Elite Racing League on Nov. 11,2002. There was never a question that he was an Elite Member on and off the track. Roger passed away July 24, 2003 from a sudden heart attack.
Roger took his final checkered flag at the young age of 53. He raced in the Elite Racing League, SOAR Offline Cup, NSRL Pro Online, and ROL Online racing leagues.  He will be missed by all in the sim-racing community.
He was known to those he raced with as a "Gentleman Driver".
Roger is survived by his wife(his high school sweetheart), two daughters, one grandson, and one granddaughter.
