Rules subject to change!

| About Us! | |
|
The ERL League is asking that when you join,
you are committed to run all the races in a series you sign up for. We
want you to be a full time driver. It is highly suggested that all drivers
use the green race line that is
in the game options. We are currently running the full Winston Cup
Series on Sunday nights @ 9:00 pm est. All of these races are scored identically with full WC points awarded as
per the final race results. If your name appears on the results you
will be awarded those points. In the case of a disqualification or DQ, you
will receive whatever N2003 scores you. If you feel you were unjustly
disqualified you must prove it. You must supply a replay clip along with
an explanation and send it to the
Admin@eliteracers.com .
Don't send in a complaint without the replay
clip. Miss more than 5 events, you
may be removed from the League!

On Track Rules! | |
| Starting of a race: | |
|
Double file starts and restarts for all races, including our "Practice Sessions". The pole sitter will always be the first car to hit the start-finish line. You are to stay behind the car directly in front of you until you cross the S/F line. You do not attempt to change lanes until crossing the S/F line. This may vary if you are signaled to make a pass from a slower driver!
| Yellow Flag Restarts: | |
|
You are to stay behind the car directly in front of you until you cross the S/F line. You do not attempt to change lanes until crossing the S/F line. It is every drivers responsibility to keep up with the driver directly in front of him on all starts and restarts. This is extremely crucial on the start of each race. You must try and keep .3 seconds between each car for even starts and restarts. Pole sitter or lead car may gradually increase speed coming down to take the GREEN FLAG. This is to be used to prevent pileup's further back in the field. These starts will be monitored closely.
| Clearing a Black Flag: | |
|
If you feel you were given a "Bogus" Black Flag, you may ask for it to be cleared. The Admin will clear it for you ASAP, but, it will be reviewed to determine if, in fact, it was a bogus black flag. If it is determined it was a legitimate black flag, you will be penalized with no points for that event. There are very few "Bogus" black flags. I would strongly recommend that you serve the BF and grit your teeth!
| (Updated) Racing back to Start Finish Line: (Updated) | |
|
Lead lap cars do not race back to the yellow. You are to hold your position and keep your speed up to about 75% until everyone takes the yellow. Once you reach the SF line, do not brake immediately. Keep your speed up until you reach turn one! You should all be lined up by the time you come around to the pit entrance. If you are braking and cause a wreck during a yellow, you will be penalized. If you are a lap down and near the leader, the leader can not give the lap back. The only time lead lap cars can race back to the yellow, is when there are 10 laps or less left in the race!! Even if you are near the leader and not on the lead lap and the caution comes out, the field locks. You will get that lap back under the "Lucky Dog" rule.
| Green Flag Pit Stops: | |
|
N2003 will automatically penalize you for wrong pit entrance or exit. Everyone needs to use their autochat keys for entering and exiting pit lane. Please put your "Pitting" sign up early!! You are not permitted to pass on pit row!
| 10 Lap Rule: | |
|
When there are 10 laps or less left in the race, and the yellow comes out, lap down cars must drive thru the pit lane EVERY LAP that the pits are open to them. You do not need actually stop in your pitbox unless you want to. From this point, you may race back to the SF line!
| Chat Rules: | |
|
There will be AUTO-CHAT only during GREEN FLAG racing. Chatting will be held to a minimum during yellows. On the last lap before green flag goes, (stage lights and pace car lights are out) please hold down chat and prepare for green flag racing. Any Extreme Flaming or out of line chat to any driver will result in a swift response from the race admins, including, but not limited to, being kicked from the server and\or removal from the League.
| Blocking: | |
|
This will not be tolerated. Use your F2 (enter) key for the driver position behind you. Blocking is when you are off the preferred line preventing a driver from making a pass for more than 4 full laps! You are allowed to protect your position safely when there are 10 laps left.
| Exiting the Race before the Checkered Flag: | |
|
If you get damaged and do not want to complete the race, you MUST either wait for the tow or drive to your pit and exit from there. If you exit the server from the track and not your pit stall, you will be penalized with a race suspension and loss of points if someone is black flagged due to your hasty exit.
| (New) The "Lucky Dog" Rule: (New) | |
| If you are laps down and the 1st car in the standings window (F2) You will be the Lucky Dog and get 1 lap back. To do this, you will need to make a pit stop and place yourself at the EOLL(end of longest line). You will get your lap back at the drop of the green flag restart. When disconnected, this rule may not apply. | |
| Racing at Talladega and Daytona: | |
|
Racing etiquette at Talladega and Daytona is as follows: Hold your line and lane if another driver is under you. The line on the back stretch is up against the wall unless you are passing the car in front of you or you are in a line of 2 wide racing. Running in the middle of the back stretch is considered blocking and it also creates a dangerous situation. Protecting your position with 10 or less laps to go will be tolerated if done safely.
| Restarting a points race will only happen under the following exceptions: | |
| A |
If half the field gets booted before the half way mark. |
| B |
If excessive warping jeopardizes the entire race outcome. |
| C |
If the race is RED FLAGGED, just leave race. If there is time that night to rerun, we will. If not, a new date will be set. Watch your email in the case there is time to restart. |
| D |
If there is some mix up or some drivers get damaged due to a mix up before the green flag drops! With our Practice Sessions, there will be a maximum of 2 re-starts to help with the impatient drivers or mix ups on the starts. Please be ready to race when we enter the Race Mode! |
| E |
These exceptions will be the call of the Admins. |
| Complaint structure for official complaints: | |
|
Repeated over aggressive driving and/or rule infraction's).
|
Creating accidents after repeatedly being told that you show considerable warp.
|
Official complaints can be emailed to: Admin@eliteracers.com
|
Official race complaints will be accompanied with at least one small replay clip showing the incident, lap of the incident, the race name, and the attached replay clip in email. All official complaints will be turned in within 48 hours after the race. Official complaints will be reviewed by the Race Stewards. Involved Race Stewards will not take part in the review process.
| Structure for supported complaints and penalties: | |
|
1st offense = 50 point deduction.
| Provisionals: | |
|
The only Provisional that will be issued will be as
follows: | |
| Excessive Yellows | |
|
If we have 3 yellows come out before we run 20 laps, the server will be restarted and the race will be run without yellows. Each driver that causes a yellow during the first 20 laps, causing the race to be restarted, must take a provisional start during the following re-qualifying session. Any driver that causes two yellows must park their car for the night, this includes any yellows caused before the reset of the server for the 20 lap rule.
| Connections: | |
|
If your connection (latency reading) is more than the 200
during the warm up session, you will have to leave the race. This is for
the good of all drivers. You can check your own latency reading in the
entry screen as it will be monitored just before race
time! | |
| Road Courses: | |
| Will be run with no yellows and "moderate" damage settings! (Subject to change) | |
| Email: | |
|
Please refrain from sending negative email out after a race until the next day. Please do not curse in the subject line. Flaming in email will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with a driver in this league, please take it up with the admins.
| (New) Elite Forum: (New) | |
| You are required to register on our Forum page. This is where all Race information will be posted, any General Chat, Race Chat, League Issues, ect. You should check in here every so often to keep up with League News! | |
